The Pruning Season of Ahavah School
The Pruning Season of Ahavah School
As the gentle breeze rustles through Liseli Farms, laborers carefully prune the plants, preparing them for a fruitful harvest. Meanwhile, a similar process is unfolding at the Liseli Foundation’s Ahavah School, where the divine hands of the Lord are gently shaping the school for a season of abundant growth and expansion.
We’re reflecting on how the Lord is preparing us for a new season of growth— and the excitement is brewing like never before. As a team, we are praying for the Lord’s guidance in this new season, and with time going on He is revealing more and more of the future plans He has for Ahavah school. The Lord has been speaking to our hearts about growing the school to reach new capacities, to bring up more students and to facilitate even more activities during school time.
Central to this growth is a vision to further empower and uplift the community. Ahavah School, which currently goes up to grade 5, is preparing for incredible expansion.. With the support of the community and the guiding hand of God, the school will expand into a full primary school, covering grades 00 to 7.
The plans for this transformation are both inspiring and practical. Ahavah School will soon feature a computer lab to teach technological literacy from an early age. An assembly hall will be filled with praise and worship, serving as a gathering hall for spiritual growth and celebration. Additionally, a nursery school will nurture young minds, laying foundations for a lifetime of learning.
This expansion is about more than just increasing numbers—it’s about making a meaningful impact. The increase in capacity from 70 to 120 pupils represents not just growth in enrollment but also in opportunity. “We are expanding Ahavah School to provide education to the surrounding areas,” Zoë Du Preez, co-founder Ahavah School, explains. “The expansion will enable us to teach and uplift even more learners, and to ultimately reach the greater surrounding community, and through that see God’s hand of upliftment bring new life.”
We recognise the Lord’s guiding hand in this season. The past few months has been a season of change and development for the Liseli Foundation. Just as skilled laborers prune plants for a bountiful harvest, the changes at Liseli Foundation and Ahavah School are part of a greater plan for God’s vision. It’s a testament to the power of faith, community, and perseverance.
As the pruning season continues at Liseli Farms, so too does the journey of growth and transformation at Ahavah School. With every careful touch and leap of faith, the foundation is laid for a future where education, spirituality, and community thrive together.
We look forward to see what God has in store for this beautiful community.
