Ahavah is a Hebrew word which means love. The love of God teaches us to live selflessly and to serve others, and this is at the heart of Ahavah Private School. Ahavah school is a part of the Liseli Foundation which lies in Western Zambia. At Ahavah school, pupils not only receive quality education, but they also learn about God and how to love others well. Through the education that Ahavah has provided, countless lives have been transformed and this transformation has overflowed into the wider community.
At Ahavah pupils learn from the best curriculums such as Oxford, they also receive nutritional meals. Ahavah Private school is deeply rooted in Christian values and morals. Ahavah school stands today because God gave the vision for the school, and He has provided school infrastructure, learning materials and teachers that value children as an integral part of society.
Ahavah Private School is not just about growing in education; it’s also about nurturing well-rounded individuals with strong moral values. The mission of Ahavah Private School is to bridge the educational gap between rural and urban communities – those who come from rural communities don’t often have the opportunity to attend a quality school. Despite this disadvantage, God has provided the opportunity for Ahavah Private School to be established, whereby children receive the best standard of education in a safe and thriving environment.
Beyond the Classroom:
At Ahavah Private School, education goes beyond the confines of textbooks. Recognising the socio-economic challenges faced by the students’ families, the school provides free uniforms and nutritious meals every day, ensuring that basic needs are met, and students can focus on their studies. This initiative gives every induvial an opportunity to give their best at school without having to worry about basic needs.

The Liseli Foundation firmly believes that education has the ability to uplift communities and for that reason the foundation supports and sponsors teachers to pursue education and higher studies. The foundation is passionate about helping individuals to pursue higher studies.
We believe in creating opportunities for teachers to embark on academic pursuits, continuously learning and developing their teaching skills. We have witnessed how sponsoring someone creates a ripple effect of change in the community.
Approaching Parents
as Partners
At Ahavah Private School it is important for us to involve parents in their child’s educational journey. We recognise the vital role that parents play in their child’s development, and therefore the school organises workshops and sessions to train parents in becoming active participants in their child’s life. The participation of parents in their child’s education promotes a family support structure and contributes towards the academic success of the child.

Our region where agriculture plays a crucial role for survival, Ahavah’s education aligns itself with the community’s agrarian roots. Through an innovative agricultural programme, students are taught practical skills related to farming, crop cultivation, and entrepreneurship. This programme not only equips students with valuable life skills but also empowers them to contribute to their family’s gardens and livelihoods. As they learn to nurture plants, they learn essential skills in life that will serve them in their future.
Sharing in our
abundance:
God has blessed the Liseli Foundation in abundance and out of our love for God and the community we also work at uplifting the less fortunate schools in our region. The foundation has formed meaningful partnerships with these schools, by extending a helping hand to provide resources, mentorship, and support, through collaborative projects, teacher training workshops, and donations.
